10Beauty has acquired Nimble, another robotics venture in the nail care space, a deal that brings Nimble’s technology and much of its executive leadership into 10Beauty’s ranks. Nimble brings with it 47 granted patents and a large customer base, having shipped more than 6,000 manicure machines and 60,000 polish capsules since launch. The move follows 10Beauty’s earlier acquisition of Clockwork, an automated nail-painting robot, and marks the company’s second major consolidation play in under two years, cementing its position as the leader of the burgeoning connected beauty industry.

With many of the leading minds in intelligent beauty now under one roof, the combined team will steer 10Beauty’s next phase of growth, drawing on Nimble’s expertise in manicure technology to inform product development as 10Beauty expands further into retail, hospitality, and wellness environments.
