Durham School Services Supports McKinney National Airport Emergency Response Exercise

Supplied Three School Buses for Operation Fractured Sky

MCKINNEY, TX, UNITED STATES, November 3, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Durham School Services, a dedicated community partner, supplied three school buses to support Operation Fractured Sky, a full-scale emergency response exercise at McKinney National Airport coordinated by the City of McKinney Office of Emergency Management.

During the exercise, one bus was used to represent an aircraft at a crash site, while the other two transported student actors from local hospitals following their simulated emergency transport. Durham’s support and partnership was instrumental in creating a realistic training environment for first responders while supporting the exercise’s complex logistical needs. Moreover, the success of Operation Fractured Sky contributed to McKinney National Airport achieving FAA Part 139 certification, an exciting milestone that will now allow for commercial passenger service to begin on November 11, 2026.

The partnership helped create a realistic training environment for our first responders while also providing the transportation needed to complete the student actors’ exercise experience.”
